SSRG Scotland: Improving Services for Children: Developments in Inspection and Performance Indicators

This is the third in a series of seminars that aim to address key issues in relation to improving services and outcomes for vulnerable children. This event will look at the ways that services can be improved by the use of different methods of evaluation, such as performance indicators and inspections.

It will address:

• The Performance Improvement Framework that is being developed by the Scottish Executive
• The work of HMIE and SWIA and how the relationship between inspections, performance indicators and other methods of evaluation is developing.
• The Performance Assessment Framework in England.
• How robust these measures and the way that they can make a real impact on improving services and outcomes for vulnerable children.
• How the performance agenda can be made 'real' for front-line staff.
