Outcomes in Social Care for Adults - 10 years on

In September 1996, SSRG staged an event entitled 'Outcomes in Social Care'.
The event followed publication of the Department of Health briefing notes on the Research Initiative on Outcomes in Social Care for Adults.

Ten years on, the issue of outcomes is still being debated, the agenda this time being driven by the Green Paper Independence, Wellbeing and Choice and the recent White Paper, Our Health, Our Care, Our Say.

This event will begin with a brief overview of policy, research and practice over the past ten years. It will then go on to address issues relating to the definition of outcomes, how measures might be selected and collected, and how they are
being integrated into policy and practice.
