On June 8th SCIE launched Social Care Online, a new and improved version of the electronic library for Social Care (sLSC). Faye McNiven attended a regional launch in Bristol on 14th June where she had an opportunity to use this new resource.
The new site contains all the information that eLSC does and more! It is free, easier to use and is updated daily by SCIE's information managers.
All the resources on the new site are fully abstracted and where possible are available in full text.

Social Care Online is targeted at a wide range of people such as researchers and academics, social care practitioners and managers, students, users and carers and librarians. It is particularly useful for registered social workers who can use it to help fulfil their post-registration training and learning obligations.
